The mission of ECBC is to test coffee brewing equipment according to The Gold Cup Standard.
The European Coffee Brewing Centre (ECBC) tests coffee makers and grinders using scientific methods to ensure the best possible coffee. If the equipment passes the test, it receives the ECBC seal of quality. Then the coffee is brewed correctly and the coffee tastes as it should.
